Welcome

Sedgefield Hardwick nursery is a part of Sedgefield Hardwick Primary Academy. Our nursery typically enrols approximately 50 pupils each academic year, with approximately 35 pupils attending each morning and 26 pupils each afternoon. Our nursery has proudly served our local community for over 40 years and is recognised as being an excellent setting for young people to thrive and learn. 

At Sedgefield Hardwick nursery we aim to:

- instil knowledge and skills through our teaching

- inspire pupils to show, tell and share what they know and can do through our rich learning environment

- innovate through evidence-based teaching and learning approaches

At Sedgefield Hardwick nursery we ensure that we at least meet the standards stated in the Early Years Statutory Framework. We believe that young children bring with them a deep curiosity and that they learn best when they are interested and motivated. We foster a love of learning by supporting children’s interests through lots of first hand experiences that enable them to learn about the themselves, their community, the world that surrounds them and each other. We are continually striving to improve and always seek to offer our pupils excellence.
